How your service works

A clear plan for snowy days.

4 cm qualifies for clearing

A single snowfall must produce at least 4 cm of accumulation to qualify. Service is automatic; separate smaller events are not added together.

We aim for 8 hours

For normal clearing, we aim to finish within 8 hours after meaningful accumulation stops. Qualifying returns after interim passes have a 24-hour target. Neither target is a guarantee.

Extra passes when needed

During heavier or prolonged snowfall, we may make interim passes. A further snow-clearing visit requires another 4 cm after the most recent pass during that same event.

City plow came after us?

Add Automatic Windrow Monitoring and Clearing for eligible driveway-entrance ridges left after our visit. Without the add-on, you arrange post-service removal. On-request windrow returns are not offered.

What does windrow coverage include?
Eligible windrows from the snowfall being serviced are cleared when present during a scheduled snow-clearing visit. The optional add-on provides monitoring and automatic returns through 48 hours after meaningful accumulation stops. That is a monitoring window, not a guaranteed return time. We cannot schedule around municipal plows. Old, compacted or frozen ridges may be excluded; leaving a post-service windrow until the next snowfall does not make its removal included.
What happens during a longer storm?
We use local conditions, radar and forecasts to plan service. Interim passes are discretionary. After an interim pass, another snow-clearing visit is required only if at least another 4 cm accumulates during the same snowfall after the most recent clearing. Required returns have a completion target of 24 hours after meaningful accumulation stops. Less than 4 cm does not require a final cleanup. If meaningful snow resumes before required clearing is complete, the applicable 8- or 24-hour target may restart when it stops; minor flurries do not restart it. Weather, access and route conditions can affect timing. Under either salting plan, salt may be deferred to the completed return clearing. If no further clearing is required, we still return for deferred salting, aiming for 8 hours after meaningful accumulation stops, subject to delays.
How do the two salting plans differ?
Snow & Salt provides salting with completed snow clearings, including any required return for deferred salt. Extended Winter Maintenance also includes weather monitoring and additional applications when reasonably appropriate, considering light snow, freezing rain, thaw/refreeze and site conditions. These conditions do not automatically trigger a visit. Neither plan guarantees ice-free surfaces or includes continuous on-site monitoring.
Are there properties or conditions you cannot service?
We do not service gravel driveways or properties requiring snow to be hauled off-site. Ordinary clearing removes loose snow; scraping or removing compacted, frozen or bonded snow and ice is excluded. Bare pavement is not guaranteed. Larger properties require a custom quote, and service areas are confirmed in your agreement.
Do you offer discounts?
Discounts are available for seniors, people with disabilities and veterans. Please tell us when requesting your quote so we can confirm eligibility and pricing.
